Summer is here and it is time to get outdoors and enjoy some sun. We have put together a list of awesome Denver pools to help you stay cool this summer!
Neighborhood Pools: Denver Recreation Center Pool Dates: June 4th - August 14th
Harvard Gulch: 550 E. Iliff Ave.
Ruby Hill: 1555 W. Mexico Ave.
Harvey Park: 2120 S. Tennyson Way
El Dorado Springs Pool: Take a trip North to this historic pool which has been popular since 1905. It is fed directly from an Artesian spring and is a great day trip. Want to hike before you swim? Enjoy the amazing views in El Dorado Canyon. The pool opens on Memorial Day.
Chatfield & Cherry Creek Reservoir: Worthy destinations for a more outdoor experience. Both have swim beaches and accommodate boats, paddle boards, kayaks and jet skis! Sailing lessons are available at Cherry Creek Reservoir.
Confluence Park: Picnic on the banks and enjoy the river or rent a kayak and take a run through the rapids! This is the best "downtown" beach in Denver.
Best for Littles:
Puddle Jumper: This Stapleton pool is open to non-residents. The pool is designed specifically for young and beginning swimmers. Splash fountains and pads, bubble jets and play structures abound!
Pirates Cove: This Englewood aquatic facility has a pool, play structure, lazy river, slide and pool. Works well for families and kids of all ages.
Best for bigger kids:
Splash Water Park in Golden: 15 minutes from Denver - the park includes a “beach”, tube water slides, spray fountains, bucket dumps,a lap pool, lounge chairs and a picnic area. This would be a cool way to spend a hot summer day.
Water World: This is Denver's quintessential water park with over 27 acres and over 50 different attractions! Annual passes are available!
Congress Park Pool: This is a Denver city park but tends to be on the quieter side. Plenty of shade and places to picnic make this a nice day at the pool.
Boulder Creek: Load up your friends and spend an afternoon on the river. Rent tubes or bring your own!
